Peter’s Picture Show: Paragliding in Cochabamba

Here’s a visual of my awesome paragliding adventure with the great guys at AndesXtremo.com in Bolivia. It was a thrilling tandem ride from over 10,000 feet above sea level in the Tunari Range of the eastern Andes and landing in the Cochabamba valley below.

I can’t recommend this highly enough, I will definitely do this again!

    1. Yup, Mark, fun indeed… I never thought I’d be paragliding down here. It helps to live with a bunch of guys who do this all the time, I probably never would have done it if it weren’t for them.

    1. Yes, Erik… I admit I was a little woozy when we first took off but then I was fine. It’s so beautiful up there, no sound but the wind. It kind of reminded me of sailing. I actually took the reins for a while and steered, it was easy and fun. Certainly paragliding in tandem with an experienced guide takes away some of the fear. And yes, we had an emergency parachute!

  1. Nice landing there Peter. Like they say …any landing you can walk away from is a good one.

Love the pan flute background music !

I’ll be sure to try that myself when I head down south next month. What a view!

    1. Hey Paul, yes I am happy to walk away from that landing but really it’s quite safe. And yes I’ll go again, I would love to have this experience again with you!

The pan flute music actually was 100% made on a Mac, it’s all digitally-generated music if you can believe it. I get my music from some great sites out there like soundcloud.com which has all sorts of content that is free to use for non-commercial purposes.
