No hay camino

Así escribió el gran poeta español Antonio Machado en “Proverbios y cantares XXIX” del poemario Campos de Castilla:

Caminante, son tus huellas
el camino y nada más;
Caminante, no hay camino,
se hace camino al andar.
Al andar se hace el camino,
y al volver la vista atrás
se ve la senda que nunca
se ha de volver a pisar.
Caminante no hay camino
sino estelas en la mar.

And so wrote the great Spanish poet Antonio Machado  in “Proverbs and Songs XXIX” from the collection Castilian Fields:

Traveler, your footsteps
are the way and nothing more;
Traveler, there is no path,
The way is made by walking.
Walking makes the way,
and when glancing behind
you see the path that never
will be walked again.
Traveler there is no way
but ripples trailing upon the sea.
